Hello from Big Apple

Hello fellow fellas :)

It has been a while I posted news here but there is a good reason for that: I was out for a trip to NYC and went into total vacation mode during the past 10 days.

Here are some impressions that I want to share with you guys. Loved the vibe and the skyscrapers a lot x

Musically, the Tracker Mini made once more a perfect travel companion! We travelled with small footprint luggage so I had no space to carry a Digitakt with me, but why if the Tracker can make it? I had it with me all the time and even on the subway I created some jams with it (and those rides can be very long!).

We also visited a super nice exhibition titled "Dream House" located right at the Broadway, 5 minutes walking distance to our hotel at Ground Zero. This exhibition…

Greetings from the Sky (plus new Jam Video)

🎛️ A new Jam video and some inflight greetings 🛫

Warm greetings from 37000 feet above the ground! We’re on half way of our flight LX16 to New York and I am working on some video footage I took the other night ❤️

I am practicing further with the Solar 42F internal sequencers. As much as I like to write the melodies with Ableton Live and send them via the Korg SQ-1 to the Solar, I want to make better use of the internal features because it's better for travelling and I also want to get better with performing on one machine.

For this jam, I devided the touch sensitive keyboard in two separate controllers, each of them is playing different melodies on the two VCO voices using the sequencer features.

Hello, Endorphin Golden Master Pedal

🎛️ New Toy in the Signal Chain! 🎛️

After my last gig, I realized just how wide the dynamic range of my setup can get — especially with the Lyra-8 pushing the PA system to its limits (sorry, ears 😅).

Up to now, I hadn't been using any limiters or compressors at the end of my signal chain — relying mostly on the venue’s mixer. But it became clear I needed something that could tame the lows and adapt more flexibly to different room acoustics.

Flashback to a great chat with @nogasayan at Superbooth 25 about the Golden Master Pedal by @Endorphin.es - He had tested it on video, and by chance, my friend @winters5796 had the Eurorack version and let me borrow it to try out 🙌

After a few tests, I’m really impressed! The multiband processing is the killer feature for me:

LX966 ZHR > BER is ready for takeoff

I’m up since 5 (don’t ask me about it), tired af, but I can’t wait to splash into Superbooth and the German capital to meet the music maker fam and loved friends from all around the world.

This year, I am super curious about hardware news from Vermona (they teased a drum machine), Elta Music (a mix extension for the Solar 42F), and Oxi Instruments (OxiOne MKII).

I also registered for a Tape Loop workshop on Saturday and some side parties on Friday (Modular Society and Raw Industries Live Hardware Madness).

See you in Berlin xxx

Rhythmic Jam with the Solar 42F (Early Access)

Hi guys,

in an earlier Blogpost, I talked about my summer setup. Well. I decided to slim it down and focus on one instrument - that strategy worked well with my previous liveset based on the Lyra-8. The main benefit for me is that I will learn this instrument much faster than having other gear in the setup I need to handle. So, my next liveset will be Solar 42F only - with a little addition: I added the BigSky Reverb so i can use a nice Delay on the Solar followed by a huge reverb (the Solar has actually 2 effect slots but the knobs change both at once which is a bummer ... so i went the complicated but save route).

"Here and Now" is the title of my upcoming performance. I decided to keep the setup minimalistic and I will play it only with the Solar 42F,…

My Experience with Vinyl on Demand VoD Service

Here are some insights with "Elastic Stage", a Vinyl on Demand Service that I used for my latest album. I shared these on Discord in another group I am member, but the thread content is vanishing fast and I wanted to keep this without further editing - its just pasted from the other forum.

First of all, Elastic Stage is a Distributor as far as I understood. The release gets a EAN number and the tracks get their own ISRC numbers, but you can put in existing numbers too so you can re-release older albums on ES.

The workflow is pretty straightforward - you enter Metadata, upload tracks and Artwork files, for these they offer easy Templates (Illustrator or PDF format). After that’s done, you create your artist page and a release page, this is a bit like every other online website editor, except it includes the vinyl offering automatically.
