Retrospective is a record that looks back — but not out of nostalgia. It’s about reflection, selection, and closure.
The album brings together released and unreleased jams, live recordings, and tracks created over the past three years. The material comes from different moments and contexts: studio sessions, concerts, sketches, and finished pieces. What connects them is simple — these are tracks I still feel close to. Not a best-of, but a personal cross-section of where I’ve been and what stayed with me.
Electronic Music with a printed booklet
For this release, a booklet that comes with Vinyl and CD editions, plays an important role. It’s designed as a kind of diary. For each track, I wrote a short note about what I like about it, why it matters to me, or what memory is attached to it. Nothing technical — just personal reflections. I wanted the record to be something you can listen to and read, slowly, over time.
The last release from 59 Perlen
Retrospective also marks a milestone. It’s the final electronic music release under the name 59 Perlen.
When I started this project, the name wasn’t a conceptual choice. My intention was always to work under my real name. But at the time, my name wasn’t available on streaming platforms, so 59 Perlen became a practical solution — a container for the music.
Today, my relationship to music distribution has entirely changed. Streaming no longer feels like the place where my work belongs. I want to focus on live experiences, physical formats and direct distribution through my website. In that context, there’s no longer a reason to hold on to an alias that was born out of necessity.
Letting go of 59 Perlen feels right. It makes space to finally work under my real name: Rosenkranz. Something I’ve wanted from the beginning, and can now allow myself to do.
So Retrospective closes a chapter — consciously and without drama. It gathers what was important, acknowledges the past, and sets a clear point from which something new can begin.
The album is being released on January 23, 2026 via Petite Victory Collective. Available on Vinyl, Deluxe Vinyl, CD and digital.
Thank you for listening — and for being part of the journey so far.
