How to Sync Elektron with Modular Part II: ALM Busy Circuits Din-Sync Adapter Cable

Morning everyone
after posting the video about that little trick to sync Elektron Analog Rytm and Modular gear (aka Solar 42F), producer "Bobby Rohr" left a comment with his own solution: he is using the "ALM Busy Circuits Din-Sync Adapter Cable" to split the Clock and a return signal from the MIDI Din output.
As the solution I was using is not very stable - sometimes the sequencer skips trigs or does not stop - i gave this a try. After connecting to the cable, I had to choose "DIN 24" to get it running, and I had to divide the incoming clock on the Solar by 16. Now that works great and reliable but a bit different than my CV Cable / Impulse machine solution:
The arpeggiator of the Solar moves forward with each trig set in the Elektron sequencer and in its speed, which means I can create polyrhythms or other complex ideas. While the midi splitting solution simply transports the speed to the synth, it is more reliable but it simply adjusts the speed of the solar arpeggiator.
As I simply just wanted to sync the speed I think I gonna use the MIDI cable ... Stay tuned for jams.
Oh yeah one last thing; I opened a second group ! There where some requests to open user groups in the past which I always declined, but I thought it might be nice for some to share ideas or questions. I renamed the original group to "59 Perlen Updates" and the new one is called "Exchange & Talks".
Cheers xxx
Mat
